Some time between 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 13 and 3:30 p.m. on Monday, January 15, the postal box outside of the Hinckley Post Office was broken into and mail was stolen.
According to United States Postal Inspector Jeff Long, the lock was cut off and the mail stolen.
Long suggested for anyone who put anything of value in the mailbox between those times to contact their financial institution and to let the post office know.
If you have any information regarding the break in, please call Postal Inspector John Livingston at 612-884-7879. There is a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
