Hinckley CVB announces replacement band for Pyro Borealis II concert, fireworks display

The Hinckley Convention & Visitors Bureau announced (June 27) the replacement band for PYRO BOREALIS II concert and fireworks display, on Saturday, July 7. (Corn & Clover Carnival weekend, July 6-7 - Grand Finale). 

Reverend Raven & The Chain Smokin’ Altar Boys, featuring Westside Andy on Harmonica will replace The Scottie Miller Band, which had to cancel due to medical emergency.

In partnership with the Sweet Sounds of Summer Concert Series, Pyro Borealis II is pleased to announce a FREE pre-fireworks street dance and concert, with Reverend Raven & The Chain Smokin’ Altar Boys, featuring Westside Andy on Harmonica. Admission is free to the public. Concert will be held on Main St. in Hinckley. Approximate start time is 7 p.m.

Bringing crowds to their feet at the hardest to please and sophisticated night clubs in the Midwest, Reverend Raven and the Chain Smoking Altar Boys play traditional blues, straight up with a big dose of passion. With smoking grooves, served up with hot harmonica and smooth stinging guitar they play original songs peppered with nods to Slim Harpo, Little Walter, Jimmy Rogers, Billy Boy Arnold, Junior Wells and the three Kings.

The 300+ shot PYRO BOREALIS II Fireworks Display will take place immediately following the FREE concert. Start time is approximately 10 p.m. Display can be viewed from downtown, the softball fields at West Side Park, and various other locations in Hinckley.
